Latinx Connect!

The space and events will be for Latin American Victorians to connect with each other and the broader Victorian community.

The events will be free of charge for attendees.

The space will hold an office space for project workers to plan and organise events and also space to host events including a kitchenette and toilets.

Some planned projects/events for the next 12 months include (all bilingual English/Spanish):

Latin American Documentary Festival (Bi-Monthly)
LGBT Latin Group (Monthly)
Latin Seniors Group
Mapuche (Chilean Indigenous) cultural events
Latin American International Students Support Service and Food Bank
Latin American Seniors Graffiti Mural Project

This project will reduce isolation for Latin American migrants in Victoria especially those more at risk of isolation, loneliness and exclusion (women, LGBT, Indigenous and seniors).

We hope our space and events will bring people together and build community and inclusion and empowerment for our community and build bridges with the wider Victorian community.
