Lancefield oval light rejuvenation project

The Lancefield Oval is located in one of Macedon Ranges most beautiful parks and is a highly sought after and used community facility.
The current lighting on the oval is extremely poor, leading to increased safety concerns for late night training sessions for multiple clubs and reduces overall after hours usage for the entire community.
The installation of new, functional lighting, will provide the Lancefield community with the ability to utilize the oval for evening cricket/football games, community events and social activities, overall increasing social cohesion, community participation overall providing a community asset that can be enjoyed by all.

Current limitations with poor lighting have led to increased risk and safety concerns for members of the community using the oval from dusk onward including members of multiple sporting clubs using the facility to train for an evening.
Further to safety concerns, community events and social activities are not able to be held after dusk due to lighting limitations, overall reducing the usage of this amazing community facility.
Improved lighting will not only benefit regular user groups but will also open up opportunities for additional community group usage, with increased capability for evening events, sporting games and social activities.
