Lake Boga Community Sporting Hub

The Lake Boga Community Sporting Hub will support the growing demands and needs of the region's recreational and sporting users. It will also accommodate array of local community groups and assist activating the hub for commercial purposes. Stage one of the redevelopment will see the construction of uni-sex change rooms, a fully functional kitchen / canteen & bar facilities and a new auditorium / function room. The facility will improve accessibility and connectivity between netball club precinct, active play area and football club activities. Project has been fully scoped and is listed as priority project in Lake Boga Recreational Masterplan.

The club has a record number of active participants and members due to the amalgamation of the junior football club and heightened emphasis on becoming a more family orientated club. This has placed significant demands on current sporting hub facilities, which are both out-dated and inadequate. It has also placed great strain on the clubs volunteer’s base, its members, its active participants, its supporters and community alike. The project will eradicate these issues and further support participation levels across all user groups. It will also provide the impetus to attract a variety of different user groups and stimulate commercial activities.
