Kings Park community canteen operates approximately 25 hours per week all day Saturday and Sunday and most Friday evenings throughout the year, with schools utilising it during the week for school sports events. The canteen space is also utilised during the annual agricultural show. Other user groups at the park could utilise the canteen during the year if it was more functional. The canteen has many original fixtures and fittings that are past their use by date and are fast approaching health, safety and hygiene concerns.
The Seymour Football Netball Club is the appointed custodian of the Kings Park Community Centre and as such we see the importance of an upgrade to the facility for all user groups particularly from an OH&S perspective. The community centre is home to a number of user groups including; the senior club which has four football teams and five netball teams, two junior football netball clubs consisting of four football and netball teams each, Seymour Little Athletics club with in excess of 100 members for the 2017/18 season. The community centre supports other not for profit groups during the year.

This facility is used by a number of clubs which service 100's of junior and senior sports participants as well as public event attendees. I have volunteered my time in this facility for a number of years and just some small changes will reduce a number of OHS issues, such as low bench prep spaces, upgrade of electrical wiring to name a few.

An upgrade is definitely needed. For many OHS reasons, including safety. Also there is a lack of bench space and storage which is needed for all groups using the facility.

Please update our facilities. Been involved with the SFNC and other user groups for over 30 years and can't recall major upgrades, therefore we are left with current dysfunctional facility. The many user groups that use the facility would all benifit, as would other community groups that hire this space.

As a volunteer in this canteen it would fantastic and beneficial to all users to see an upgrade to our outdated and dysfunctional facility. So please Upgrade upgrade upgrade!!!

Is an antiquated safety and operational dinosaur.
Only volunteers who love the organisations they support would subject the,selves to this form of catering torture.
