The Kinglake Country Fair was established to promote tourism in the Kinglake Ranges and encourage strong community ties. It involves a high number of local artists, creators, vendors, business people, and community groups, emphasising a focus on the variety and value of regional communities in Victoria. The Fair includes market stalls, live entertainment, carnival rides, games and competitions, and food all located in the heart of the Kinglake Ranges, 1 hour north-east of Melbourne. The Fair provides a significant attraction for tourists at the height of autumn, as well as giving local families an annual event to look forward to.

The Kinglake Country Fair achieved great success and public acclaim in 2018, having 53% of its > 1,600 attendants come from the Kinglake Ranges in support. A huge 46% attended from all throughout Victoria. In such, the appeal of the region as well as its broad tourist value was exposed. Not only does the Fair advertise and promote the Kinglake Ranges but it gives platform for members of the community to celebrate their lifestyle and interests. The event also enriches local business and trade, boosting consumer interest and developing return-customers for local hospitality, accommodation, and niche businesses.

This is a great opportunity for residents to learn about the place they have chosen to live and to discover the wide range of community groups in the area, as well as having a fun time. An excellent event.
