Kergunyah Hall Community Centre Redevelopement

Construct a new supper room and kitchen extension attached to the main hall at the same floor height level with bi fold access doors between rooms together with a storage room which will meet all new building regulations to be built at a setback from the boundary. The outdated current building is plagued with groundwater seepage, structural problems to the west wall and damage to walls and ceiling. The new flooring proposal will align with the rest of the hall complex eliminating the current dangerous access step. A secure storage room is needed to keep cleaning equipment and furniture.

This extension proposal will greatly benefit the aged and disabled allowing access to the whole hall complex. It will provide a spill over area for large social events and funeral wakes promoting improved social interaction. For over 70 years card players meet every Monday night to play Euchre in this section. It is frequently used by the local fire brigade and farm groups for training sessions. CWA and hall committee regularly use the kitchen for catering. This section of the public building is used for a diverse range of events from polling booth to children's parties benefiting all the community.
