12 months ago a community member mocked up a kelpie image on the local water tower and posted it to Facebook and received an overwhelming response, the local Visitor Information Centre was inundated with inquiries so much so they commenced detailing data to support this project. The evidence now speaks for itself so much so the community now has a strong desire to achieve this project as a tourist attraction stimulus for Casterton.
With the documented evidence that this project will increase tourist travelling to Casterton to view of the project we know this will support economic growth through increased visitation to Casterton and believe this project fits with the Great South Coast Regional Plan to build a strong and diverse regional economy with more local jobs.

This will really be something that will be an attractive sight for not only the town, but also for visitors. It dosent look much at the moment so it should really be stunning and a drawcard.

This would really turn the entry into Casterton into a bright and vibrant feel. It supports the heritage of the Kelpie, and would go hand in hand with the new kelpie centre and also the kelpie parade.

It would be a great boost for our town. I know of many people who have visited the Silo Murals and know it would draw much wanted visitors and business to Casterton
