Research and production of a series of six large Heritage Interpretation Display Boards revitalising lost historical events/sites. Each display board will be erected at a site that will be publicly accessible and capture some unique significant events/sites, which are a vital part of the district's history. The approximate size of each board will be 3m x 2m and erected in a heritage designed sign stand of timber. These displays will include: 1. The Pugsley Murders. 2. German Settlement at Hill Plain. 3. The Coles Supermarket Beginnings. 4. The Chinese in Tungamah. 5. Pioneer Families. 6. Indigenous Heritage.
Over the years, Tungamah District has seen a decline in business and population with many of the business houses closing and public buildings demolished or in a state of disrepair. The community has worked tirelessly to nurture and preserve what remains to ensure the community and its spirit survives. It is imperative that we encourage visitors to the town so the few remaining businesses that service the town can survive. Recently Silo Art was completed and now is the time to capitalise on the travelling public. This will assist in extending their stay.

Hoping we can get it up there - but lots in our region to vote on - thank you for the comment
Great initiative. So much history has Tungamah. I helped with the towns interpretive signs. The town has so much history to share with our region and visitors to the state .
Here is hoping we can take it to the next level... we have lost too much
