This project entails the installation of car-parking lighting and the full upgrade of the halogen globes used for night tennis to LED globes. Currently, the tennis courts are used nightly for tennis lessons and competition play for womens, mens, mixed teams as well as all levels of juniors. The car-park is off-set from the current street lighting and therefore is situated in a blind-spot and with this proposed lighting project it will allow a safer ingress and egress post tennis. The LED globes replacement will reduce the power bill immensely as well as providing environmental friendly lighting to the courts.
These proposed works would allow the local community and its users and members, a safer experience as the car-park would be lit when the sensors are triggered. Also, this security lighting would form a great synergy with the soon to be live "Book A Court" online system, as it would provide a safer level of comfort for all. With respect to the replacement of the current halogen globes to LED globes, this would significantly reduce the power usage as these LED globes function on 80% less power consumption and have a life span ten times longer than the current globes.

Car park safety is crucial for our ladies and juniors in particular. LED lighting is more environmentally friendly and sustainable

Women and children especially ,using courts at night have no lighting to enter or exit courts during coaching or
night competition. The courts are surrounded by factories and parks.Some of which are dog friendly. Would be great
to have a clearer view of carpark and surrounds.

As someone who used the courts at night it was very scary returning to the car at the end of the night
