The installation of a multimedia scoreboard screen at Saltwater Reserve will benefit the Point Cook population of over 61,000 residents and the wider Wyndham City Council community. The screen is to be installed overlooking the main oval which will enable community events to occur such as;
• Movie night events;
• Provides an improved community venue for existing events such as Diwali and ANZAC Day;
• Enables existing Point Cook sporting clubs to utilise the screen for scoring and advertising; and
• Council managed events.
The community will be able to utilise the screen via existing Council booking arrangements.

Point Cook is one of Melbourne’s fastest growing suburbs that has a diverse community with over 47% of residents born outside of Australia. Saltwater Reserve is connected to this community with the Reserve being centrally located.
The community does not have a permanent open space that can support diverse social events with interactive multimedia technology. The installation on the Wyndham City Council reserve will enrich community events, increase utilisation of the reserve and provides a service not available in the Point Cook area. Sporting clubs, community associations, community groups and fundraising events will all benefit from the project.
