The current pathway is only partially paved, and the section nearest to Elwers Street is uneven and often becomes muddy. It is not lit at night and is unsafe as a thoroughfare. Paving and lighting this area will improve accessibility for residents wishing to access the pre-school or bus stop on Macorna Street from the streets behind, including Elwers and Middleton Streets.

This upgrade will improve access for local residents, particularly the pre-school community and neighbours who are elderly and mobility impaired needing to access the nearby bus-stop on Macorna Street. Currently, they have to contend with mud and uneven/slippery ground that is unpaved along half the length of the path. Community safety will be improved by lighting the path at night and reducing the likelihood of vandalism and drug use. Traffic in Macorna Street will be reduced because parents will be more likely to use the thoroughfare during pre-school start and finish times and park vehicles in the street behind.

This path is too important and kids and parents not to be fixed.

It's unsafe, it is not fit for purpose and it is a liability. Fix it.

An overdue maintenance project, we need to promote safe walking spaces in our area and this path is a gynell connecting families to education too. Dangerous tripping hazard that needs sealing for safety for all.

A much needed and worthwhile project for residents of the neighbourhood who walk, run, cycle, scoot their way around.
Not only will the completion of this project allow residents to use the path more safely, it will encourage others in the area to leave their car at home for kinder and school drop offs/pick ups, therefore reducing traffic in the area during two peak times.

This unmade path is such a hazard and makes it difficult for those with children, prams, wheelchairs, other disabilities to access Macorna Street safely. A concreted well lit path is required.

The lighting and resurfacing are required to make full use of this thoroughfare. Without it the path can’t be used to its full potential

This is very important.

This ‘path’ is well utilised already, however could be so much more accessible with a formalised path and lighting.

This path is often used by parents with small children and prams. Its current state is dangerous for those who use it. this is a much needed bit of work.

This pathway is badly needed, with lights as a security. It is often used by the elderly and parents with young children. Safety is a priority.
