The Jumbunna Hall is the Community Hall built following the land donated by the Mining Co. when coal was mined in Victoria .
Its main use at present is for the market which is attended by surrounding communities which raises funds for maintenance.
It has been used for musical events. The Community would like to see more of this use and for weddings etc.
The Hall's toilets need upgrading. Also the Kitchen is not in keeping with most halls of today requiring considerable improvements.
Another entrance is required leading into the park. This needs to be disability friendly.
The hall is an ideal site for local functions, however in spite of the committees constant efforts to raise funds for improvements and make the Hall more user friendly. additional funding is needed before the Hall will be suitable to obtain maximum benefit..
Not only will the hall have appeal through its historical appearance, it will become user friendly by addressing issues of disability, become user friendly with improved toilets and kitchen for catering and entry via the park. This will assist the community to hold events with a comfortable environment.
These events will also help bring the Community together.
