The Lalbert community is situated on a busy arterial road and has supported the development of a small community park to cater for community members and visitors travelling through the town. Transport operators utilising a busy grain receival site are often waiting lengthy periods to unload and access to shower facilities will be of benefit. The project will enable an addition shower/washroom facility to be added on to the existing modern toilet building. The build will allow for plumbing fixtures and connections, electrical work and provide for a solar hot water service to be installed.
Lalbert like a lot of small rural communities has faced decline and currently has one shop catering for the town and surrounding district. The viabiity of this business and the importance to the community for its on going success is a high priority and any additional services or supporting infrastructure that will attact business is highly regarded.
The addition of shower and washroom facilities will be the impetus to attract a range of new uses including transport operators, RV travellers and regional workers seeking to refresh prior to further travel. Lalbert can retain its current services with interventions like this.

A great project for this small community. Will be difficult to compete with other projects that are in larger communities :(
