This 20 week pilot program will provide safe and caring low-medium impact, trauma-sensitive well-being classes led by a qualified personal trainer. Delivered at no cost to women currently experiencing or who have experienced family violence, impactFUL will also offer free child-minding onsite. impactFUL will enhance the participants' fitness, improve their health and well-being, increase their confidence and self-esteem and facilitate their recovery from abuse. 'Thrival' rather than just survival will be a key goal. As well actively participating in the classes, a female police officer and social worker will stay back after each session to offer individual support and advice.
impactFUL fills a gap: nothing like it currently exists in Victoria.
Community development requires community members to be supported by agencies to identify and take collective action on issues important to them. It empowers community members to create stronger and more connected communities.
A holistic approach grounded in principles of empowerment, human rights, inclusion, social justice, self-determination and collective action is what underpins successful community development. impactFUL ticks all of these criteria.

Kathy does such important work in the community. It's very sad that this organisation is even needed, but they do so much good work. IMPACT is very deserving, and has my vote!
