Imaginative! Innovative! Repurposing community spaces - Celebrating Strath Creek's future.

Strath Creek is a vibrant, inclusive community that encourages celebration and participation in many activities. Our Community demographic is changing. New residents seek a rural lifestyle within proximity to the city, with a desire to belong to a connected community.
This Project aims to create an Arts and Events Precinct by installing local art works on public buildings and repurposing one tennis court for outside activities and events.
The purpose is to:
• increase the connectivity between all facilities and recreational areas in Strath Creek, and
• provide an improved functional area for community events and celebrations.

Benefits are:
• building resources to attract visitors and new residents.
• a permanent facility for our regular market and annual events such as Australia Day and Anzac Day Commemorations.
• opportunities for young people to experience outdoor events including music concerts, theatre performances and activities identified in our recent community survey.
• use local Art work to celebrate the historical significance of Strath Creek.
• creation of art to drive community participation and ownership of this area.
Overall, this Art and Event Precinct will create cultural, artistic and celebratory event opportunities for young people and, new and long-time residents.
