This idea revolves around the development of a friendly soccer tournament involving communities of varying faiths and backgrounds. The tournament will follow conventional FIFA rules and regulations. Similarly to the FIFA World Cup, each community organisation will nominate a squad to represent them.
The games will be streamed over social media with live broadcasting.
The tournament will commence and conclude with a friendly community BBQ.
As part of the grant finances, each team will be allocated funding to cover uniforms Including gloves. Shoes to be covered by the individuals.
One of the Hume City Council initiatives, Hume Horizons 2040, is to foster a healthy and safe community. Another priority is supporting the development of Youth services and facilitates. This programme seeks to further this cause whilst providing a means to create a social group amongst youth of varying cultures and backgrounds.
