Redevelopment of an unused bowling green into a recreation area accessible all year round. The blank space will include landscaping, BBQ area, shelter, beach volleyball, table tennis and lighting. The project will strategically align two sporting clubs and assist in the future viability of these clubs. The Tennis/Playground lighting will enable tennis/bike/playground use after dark safely. Lighting will enable tennis to be played at night and escape the heat of the day. A history board will display the unique uses of the surrounding recreational precinct.

Will provide a free multifunctional recreation space for the local community and visitors to Hopetoun. The Silo Art Trail has seen an increase of visitors to the region and this project will provide a reason for them to stay longer and stimulate the local economy. The lighting will allow night tennis and avoid temperatures up to 47.7 degrees. It will also showcase a recreational safe place to play, compete and relax and provide a gateway to Lake Lascelles. The history board will preserve the rich recreational history of the precinct and provide a window into the past for visitors.
