The Arch of Triumph is a recently restored WW1 memorial built in 1926, which forms the main entrance to the Bendigo Botanic Gardens, White Hills. It is located on Napier Street, which is currently being upgraded by Vic Roads. Vic Roads is funding some of the landscape works at the front of the Arch, but it doesn't include the fence restoration. The beautiful Arch will be improved by replacing the ugly barbed wire chain mesh fence with the 19th Century style heritage picket fence. Heritage Gate repair will also be included.

By providing a beautiful, historic and functional front fence, the Bendigo Botanic Gardens front entrance will look better than it ever has before. This location is an iconic part of Bendigo’s cultural heritage and the heritage style picket fence will appropriately complete the Botanic Gardens entrance - the 'Arch of Triumph'.

To complete the heritage character of the entry to the gardens we need the heritage fence re-instated.
The re-invigorated heritage Bendigo Botanic Gardens provides a great asset to for all of Bendigo residents.
