Helping new immigrant/refugee background mothers and their children

To set up a support network for mainly African mothers and their children in the inner/middle northern suburbs of Carlton, Collingwood, Northcote, Thornburg, Heidelberg, Preston ect.
It will provide social networking, welfare support and ways to get suitable jobs; and be a great way of engaging with the wider Australian community and the school education system. It will provide speakers with appropriate interpreting and translating.

The project will help new mothers fit in better in the community by accessing better information about services and other government services. By setting up a tool box of resources (both government and philanthropic resources), the network will be great for capacity building.
