The Tarra Festival has grown over the last 5 years to a point where it has outgrown being able to be managed purely by volunteers. With 1600+ man hours in event management alone, we desperately need to be able to employ an events management team. If we cannot find the funds for this the Tarra Festival may not survive and certainly will not continue at the level it has been.

The Yarram & Port Albert Tarra Festival has grown from a small country Easter Festival to being of regional if not state significance. With attendances in excess of 18,000 at events across the Easter Weekend, the Tarra Festival plays an important social role bringing families & friends home for the holiday, attracting tourists, bringing the town together and generating much needed funds for community groups and businesses alike. The Tarra Festival generates almost 50% of community fundraising for the year and over the Easter weekend generates approx 2 months equivilent retail & hospitality sales.

this festival has been part of our family for decades. enjoyed it as a child and now my children and grand children make it part of their annual holidays to come home enjoy it. the local area needs this to survive.

This is such an exciting and varied event, over several days, and brings so many people into the wider district over the Easter period. The volunteer committee has done an exceptional job organising it for a very long time, and the Festival has grown and grown, but when a committee "burns out" there is the danger of such an iconic event folding. No one wants this to happen! Professional assistance is now essential, to help lift the load off the volunteer committee.
