Wodonga is currently one of the fastest-growing regional cities in Victoria, servicing a wider reach of around 180,000 people. It has a proud history of multiculturalism and social inclusion and has a strong economy based on industry, agribusiness, defence, retail and health.
In early 2019, the final stage of a five-year Central Business Area revitalisation will be completed, the largest civic transformation in the north-east town’s history.
A major street and art festival will bring the community together to showcase this vibrant ‘new’ urban centre and throw a welcome spotlight on the main street traders and service providers.

The Wodonga community has always been close-knit, compassionate and proud of their township.
There are currently significant physical and social changes occurring from a major Central Business Area revitalisation project, as Wodonga readies itself for a rapid population increase.
An art and multicultural street festival appealing to all demographics will kick-start a new chapter in Wodonga’s history and bring the community together to enhance its sense of belonging and place.
Economically, local traders, producers, market stall holders and service providers can capitalise on the increased foot-traffic over the festival period to promote their businesses and generate retail sales.

Love events that encourage everyone in the community to come together.

The sponsors of this activity which I think is sound idea and proven previously to be successful must be by businesses and not 100% council.
