40 years ago, FCAC's rich music history stemmed from factory workers and resourceful activists declaring a need to provide culture for all. Building on this legacy, HEAR FOOTSCRAY! aims to create a vibrant music program showcasing the diversity and vitality of our current music scene.
With three outdoor twilight sessions in FCAC's beautiful amphitheatre, we will create a world-class music hub for the inner west featuring established and emerging artists. HEAR FOOTSCRAY! will be culturally inclusive, family-friendly, with food trucks and drinks options galore; a place for people to come together and enjoy cool music and warm community vibes.

As an established musician residing in the West, I see FCAC's program as a tremendous opportunity:
- For diverse musicians to gain employment, performance experience, industry networks and career development.

- For the local community of all ages and various musical tastes to access more live music in the West, while creating social connections and new memories of the experience.

With the goal of becoming a jewel in the crown of Footscray's cultural life,
FCAC wants you to discover new talents, connect with your neighbours, be inspired, and have fun while supporting Melbourne's creative ecosystem.

Great idea! Would love to take my kids along on a balmy night listening to tunes by the river.

Why not use the Happy River Cafe instead of bringing in food trucks?

Hi Julie, the event will certainly drive business to Happy River Café, but we are hoping for significant crowds, so in addition we will be aiming to showcase food offerings from local businesses and community groups. Nina@footscrayarts.com
