When people come together & join hands with a common interest, it reduces isolation for individuals (seniors), young families (migrants). It helps to develop strong community bonding where seniors share knowledge/wisdom and youth contribute physical/monitory Support. Diverse senior citizens & new migrant families will access as seniors guide young families to settle in the community by sharing their life experiences/skills and youth can develop sustainable hobby which helps entire family/community. Community gardens are the places to learn gardening skills, grow food, sustainable living style, care for the environment along with meeting new people and be part of the local community.

The location of the project has many new migrant families establishing their life in Victoria. New migrants, not being familiar with local culture/social systems feels less connected within wider communities.
Similarly, many diverse community seniors are feeling isolated as they don’t have support systems (for driving, communication) to go out/do activities. This project is aims to address these issues specifically as seniors with skills & life experience get the opportunity to demonstrate their ability to work/teach which reduces isolation and keep active. Youngsters can learn a sustainable hobby and helps them to connect cross culturally within community.
