Grovedale Community Safety, Health and Emergency Relief Project

The project will maintain the health of the Grovedale community by ensuring all members of the community can access emergency support when required. The project worker will ensure all community members who have emergency needs for food, clothing, household goods and housing will receive support so the impact on their physical and mental health is kept to a minimum. The project worker will improve the health of low income members of the community by preventing the disconnecting of utilities used for heating and cooling and making available no interest loans for medical and dental procedures.

The project will benefit the community and improve the health of individual members as emergency needs for food, clothing, household goods and housing will be attend to by the project worker.

The project worker will be able to provide assistance with managing utility bills so the health of community members is not adversely affected by cold and heat as a result of the loss of utility services.

The no interest loans scheme will help community members improve their health by accessing medical and dental procedures and purchasing medical appliances that they would not otherwise be able to acquire.
