Goroke has been identified as part of the stage two plan by Wimmera Mallee Tourism for the Silo Art Trail. The trail is already an outstanding success in Yarriambiack Shire, and extending it southward will allow Goroke to be part of Australia's largest outdoor gallery.

Goroke is surrounded by a districts of lakes and wetlands, a pleasant contrast to the drier districts already included in the Silo Trail. Putting Silo Art in Goroke will provide a southern gateway to the Trail and add much variety to the landscape of the already renowned gallery.

Being far from any major highways, Goroke has few passing travellers, but local traders and the wider community benefit to some extent from campers at Lakes Ratzcastle and Charlegrark and visitors to The Little Desert. If Goroke became part of the Silo Art Trail, a different sort of tourist would discover our township and the resulting benefits would be year-round and not just seasonal.

The installation of Silo Art would happily coincide with the re-opening of the Goroke Hotel, whose new owner have ambitious plans to offer quality food and comfortable accommodation.
