This ground definitely needs nets to prevent any further windscreen and panel damage to cars and scares/ injury to people walking past. It would increase car parking capacity, reduce wasted game and training time fetching balls make it an all round safer environment.

The Traralgon football Netball club is in desperate need of goal post nets to stop the football shooting over the fence and hitting spectators, or hitting cars parked too close to the goals!
Anyone using the ground for football during the year will be able to benefit from the nets as they will be a permanent structure.
It will also give the club an opportunity to raise some sponsorship money, selling space on the nets to local companies wanting to advertise.
Thousands of people use the Traralgon football ground during the year. From The Traralgon team itself, to players from the junior football league, or the girls league, or local schools, all these people in some way will benefit from the nets when playing on this fantastic ground.
No longer having to jump the fence to chase a well kicked football, or being able to park an extra dozen cars around the ground at a fantastic vantage point to watch the game, these are all benefits supporters of local football can look forward to in the future

If small football clubs can get grant for their nets around the state, then why can’t this club get some.
Great club ran by great people this is my familys first year at the club and we couldnt feel more welcome its the only thing lacking at the club is the nets to stop the balls going behind a long distance which cuts playing time
These are urgently required by this club to bring it in line with other clubs in the area.
Fantastic project that will improve the football experience for local people along with visitors
Long time overdue
A must to bring the club in line with others
A great project, we really need these nets for all users of this great facility
A must for this ground. Retrieving the ball by players and umpires is dangerous and holds up the game. Most spectator vantage points are on the wings so there are rarely spectators present to retrieve the ball.
Goal post nets are required, in this day & age. Mad not to have them
Greatly needed for this ground as players are required to climb over fence to retrieve balls during practice and games, which could easily lead to injuries.
The nets will add great value not just to the Traralgon Football Netball Club but to the local community.
As there has been junior and other senior clubs that have used the ground which the nets will be greatly appreciated. Eg North Gippsland Football Leauge Grand Final, Traralgon & District Junior Football League etc.
Definitely need and support nets to be installed behind the goals at TGon!
We need to keep up facilities in line with other clubs.
This will benefit not just the Traralgon Football Netball Club, but the numerous Junior football games and Women's football games that are held here - not to Mention the North Gippsland League Grand Final Day, which has been held at the Traralgon Rec Reserve for the past number of years. Not many country league football grounds are without nets, and opposition teams comment on the time taken to retrieve the ball is a waste in gameplay, as no time on in reserves through to juniors.
Nets are badly needed at Tgon football ground to bring them into line with other clubs.
Traralgon seems to be a a very small minority of country football clubs without nets behind the goals. Too much time is lost especially in junior games when the clock doesn’t stop retrieving footballs.
Traralgon is the most populated city in Latrobe City. This project will benefit all users of the Rec Reserve and assist with attracting other major sporting events to the ground therefore creating tourism on dollars for our great city
This is a really important project. Nets are desperately needed at the Traralgon Recreation Reserve.

Great initiative to further improve the Traralgon Recreation Sporting facilities. Providing playing facilities that are in-line with all major league suburban and country sporting venues - where all sport supporters, leagues, schools and associations at any level can utilise.
Providing a venue that does support the Sporting community with facilities that do meet an expected standard, will ultimately draw further interest for increased participation and utilisation of this popular sports arena, for all events!
