The Healesville Junior Football Club has two girls' teams for the first time this year. Girls involvement in football is growing and we expect to have at least three teams in 2019.
The current change rooms (used by the junior football girls) has one urinal, one toilet and a communal shower area. This is not ideal for developing young women.
Getting young pre-teens and teenage girls involved in sport and keeping them active will help lead to healthier and more community minded adults. Team sports are a marvelous experience on many levels.
It is important to ensure the girls can obtain some privacy when changing.
Being part of a team helps build confidence, commitment and aids in developing a balanced well-rounded adult.
