The club has 37 members who play each day, the game is good for the elderly as it gives gentle exercise, mental stimulation and a chance to socialise. Our courts badly been a watering system to keep them in a playable state. The general playing equipment is poor and needs renewing

Bright Croquet’s Club is the second oldest croquet club in Victoria formed in 1904. We are a tourist town and besides our 37 members we have many visitors from all over Australia who come and play. We receive no outside funding but run the club on green fees and members yearly fees, this only pays for the general upkeep of the courts. For many of our members playing croquet is their only outlet to exercise and a social enviroment.

This great historical club is in dire need of ground maintenance. It offers lots of fun, encouragement and an ongoing activity for all ages and capabilities. Most of all a welcoming and supportive community.

great opportunity for every age to play a no too physical sport, socialise at the same time and make new friends - a sport for all seasons and all people, we have students coming, members of the Leisure Group and plenty of visitors from all over Australia but the courts need a big make over

I would love to see this little club get the recognition it deserves. For years the members have toiled away at the back of the main street, maintaining a tradition in the town that goes back 114 years. There a not many clubs that can claim a record like that. I'd be keen to give it a go too!

Bright Croquet Club was formed in 1904 and has run continuously since then. The Club provides a low impact sporting activity and social outlet to its members, the wider community of Bright and tourists. The Club members do their best to keep the grounds and Clubroom in good order, but the Club is in dire need of funding to carry out major grounds works and installation of a water-wise watering system.
