Gembrook Primary School is at the heart of Gembrook.
The school’s current oval is barely usable because of its poor condition and lack of drainage. It is little more then a cow paddock.
The oval upgrade will benefit not only students, but the wider community.
The revitalisation will include new drainage, new turf and new goal posts.
The new oval will be shared with the community for sports that are seeing significant growth in the area, such as Auskick, AFLW, Little Atheletics, soccer and cricket.
Sport and active recreation offer vital opportunities for enriching our local Gembrook community and benefits mental health and wellbeing.
With panoramic views of the Dandenong Ranges the Gembrook Primary School oval is located within the heart of Gembrook and is the perfect location to host local sporting activities and training.
With increasing pressure on existing ovals from the rise in female participation in sport, revitalising Gembrook Primary School’s oval will help alleviate that pressure and provide additional opportunities for grassroots sport.
Gembrook and the local district will benefit for decades to come following the revitalisation of the oval.
