Future Basketball Champions Development Program

Our program will be inclusive of youth in our community and provide the opportunity for 200 players to develop their basketball skills. Currently what stops participation by our youth is the high registration fees on top of uniforms and equipment. Our program would encourage more under 8's and under 10 girls and boys to participate in basketball. We also see a high number of girls quit at under 16 level so we would love to encourage more girls to continue to participate in that age group. Our aim is to improve girls participating in basketball.

When kids play sports, they develop skills beyond the basketball court. Through healthy competition, kids can discover their personal best, have fun and be a part of a team. Modelling fairness, cooperation, and hard work, our volunteer coaches recognize achievements large and small and understand that winning isn’t just about the score. Our program will celebrate multiculturalism, female participation in sport and youth. We will target 200 kids in key age groups in our community to allow youth the opportunity to develop as players and within their community.
