To share the gardening knowledge that resides within the Shire's six community gardens, with each other, school kids and their families using a multi-focused approach. Collating the knowledge through a calendar, community events and a social media campaign, connecting people through the Shire's eleven community houses. Building access to nutritious food through four events over 12 months that will share gardening skills, inform others of the health value of productive gardens with the support of the State government, Council and Peninsula Health. The cluster of Community Houses on the Peninsula will host the events and distribute the information.

Make the Peninsula an even better place to live.
1. Increased social cohesion through greater participation in gardening, or learning how to grow and share food by local school children and their parents.
2. Encouraging socially isolated people to join community gardens, participate in food swaps or community harvest events.
3. Healthier communities become more resilient communities because they can grow and cook fresh food.
4. To connect to government services and build relationships through the eleven community centres and Peninsula Health.

Fingers crossed! It is a peninsula wide project. I will be looking for professionals who know the area. I hope you can spread the word and get people to vote. For some of us older folks that seems to be a problem. Moving the cursor to find us if you live closer to Mornington appears to be a problem.

Thanks for your support, I agree. Please spread the word as this is a Peninsula wide project and the voting system is geared to only picking up people within 5 kms. As anyone who lives on the Peninsula knows that just does not apply.
