Free school holiday program for 5-7 and 8-12 year olds that teach kids how to grow food from seeds, prepare raw food and then prepare the food into a meal to share with their family.
This program will be developed around appropriate age skills to talk about food growth, nutrition and working out a recipe from scratch, not a packet.
With a focus on fun at all stages, it is about getting messy and enjoying preparing some food to share. It's nonna's kitchen for all the inner west bambini's.
This cluster of 4 x 5 day free school holiday programs over a twelve month period, is available to all inner west families regardless of their economic status. Our horticulturist and specialist nutritionist team will oversee the planting and nutritional program to educate kids on the pluses of growing their own food, as well as the dietary benefits of eating healthy home cooked meals.
With an open door policy and a fee free program the community mixes freely as the program is run. Opening up friendships and networking for the mums and the kids in their local environment.
