Our vision is based on four pillars of health and wellbeing recovery – Healing, Empowerment, Education and Connection. its therapeutic services and case management for women who have suffered domestic violence are complemented by self-help resources and techniques that enable them to self-manage their stress and anxiety long after leaving the Life2 retreats. This in itself boosts their self-confidence, resilience and sense of personal empowerment. Caroline Jayne Dawson and Project4Change via the Life2program are seeking funding support to establish an ongoing program in the Mornington Peninsular Region of Victoria to provide remedial services to women suffering trauma and anxiety.

There is a common misconception that once a woman has left a violent relationship, her problems are over. However, as Jane Sleight-Leach (Life2 Founder) and myself know from our personal experience, this is definitely not the case. The recent reports of the inquiries into the prevalence of family and domestic violence, especially the Victorian Royal Commission (“the Royal Commission”), commented at length on the many submissions from individuals, professionals and service providers attesting to the nature and potential longevity of the after effects of violence on women.
The retreats and aftercare we provide, have proven, ongoing results with previous attendees.
