Footscray Electronic Music Festival

Electronic music is having an increasing influence on all music production, however the scene is not representative of the diversity of talent within it.

By preferencing talented women, gender non-binary people, people of colour, people from the LGBTQIA+ community and disabled people; the festival will provide well-paid opportunities to the incredible creators who have not traditionally been offered a similar platform.

Scheduled to take place during Ausmusic Month, original works will be commissioned, community spaces will be activated and Footscray's bars and clubs will present unique and lively programs for our diverse and growing community.

As our town grows, it is important that we continue to celebrate the unique community and spaces which continue to grow its popularity.

By activating public spaces and small businesses with shows, installations and exhibitions, the week long event Electronic Music Festival will contribute to the changing face of electronic music as well as contribute to the growth of our beloved Footscray.
