The Flowerdale Hall is a very old building (well over 80 years) and is run by a committee of management.
However the facade is in much need of repair. There are multiple rotting boards and the paint is peeling. It is a very large building and quite a big job to complete. We would like to give our beautiful hall a facelift by removing all weather boards, insulating all areas and re-cladding with colourbond. Insulating the hall would assist with heating and cooling costs and enable the hall to be used by more people at all times of the year
The Iconic Flowerdale Community Hall is situated amongst one of the most beautiful places in Victoria sitting on top of a hill overlooking the Three Sisters and the hills all around. It is a significant structure to the residents of Flowerdale and surrounds and is the gateway to Flowerdale when coming from either Yea or Strath Creek. The War Memorial and the War Memorial Plaques are located at the Community Hall.
The Community Hall was used as a refuge after the 2009 Black Saturday Bush Fires as is deemed a safer place and will be utilised by the CFA

Our Community Hall is in desparate need of renovating the rotting weatherboards on the building. The Hall is treasured and frequently used by the Community and is historically significant building in the area.

A piece of Flowerdale Heritage that is the heart of the community. It does though need to be updated to ensure it remains that way.
