Extend and Refurbish our School Library

At Aspendale Primary School, we believe the library should be one of the most exciting places in the school: the hub of learning, reading, research, discussion and collaboration. As our school has grown, the library space has not kept up. We want to take this opportunity to put the library back in its place at the centre of our learning. Our aim is to extend the footprint of our library and refurbish the interior from both a practical perspective and to ignite our students' imaginations. In short, we want to broaden our students' minds by putting books in their hands.

In this digital age, distractions are everywhere. We want our school library to be a learning sanctuary, that draws our students in and supports their learning. We want to see books in students' hands.
With the growth of our school, our library space has not kept up. Our parents, students and teachers are all demanding a more inspiring library that supports our students' learning. As a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate (IB), we have identified the library as an area that we are lacking in.
