The Expression Through Colour for Kids Program is designed for six to twelve year olds, both male and female, to assist their creative growth and explore creativity through the use of sustainable materials and the consideration of their current household climates. In this 20 day program delivered over a 12 month period, participants will learn how to use basic household materials to create art, in turn, teaching participants how to "zone out" of current social pressures and use colour to bring peace and tranquillity to their being.

The local community will benefit via a number of outcomes, the most significant being the promotion of art as a tool to meet creative needs of young Australians, as well as developing basic strategies to adjust or maintain mental health. Participants will build strong connections with each other, organically growing self esteem and confidence. Art works will be exhibited at the Louis Joel Gallery in Altona, with members of the broader Hobsons Bay Community invited to partake in the celebration of youth creativity and expression
