It is proposed to install 2 multi fitness stations in the area near the BBQ on the land owned by the Poowong Public Hall Inc adjacent to the Poowong Sports Centre and Recreation Reserve. Access to the site is available 24/7 and is available to the community and tourists/travellers at no charge. The fitness stations are professionally designed and incorporate many activities in each station.
The community is very health conscious and there is currently available land owned by the Hall that is under utilised that adjoins two major sporting venues namely the Sports Centre & the Recreation Reserve which are limited in space for further development. This project would enable exercise and fitness equipment to be installed and used by the wider community located centrally to the town with an electric BBQ and relatively new public toilets all on site. We believe this would appeal to all age groups and has wide community support.
