Both my daughter & son use this sports facility, it helps them to socialise, understand discipline & advance in maturity & respect for others. All of this whilst having great enjoyment, fun & exercise.
The upgrade of this facility is paramount for keeping our youth engaged in a time when technology, drugs & peer group pressure can be a major deterrent.
Investing in this project is an investment in the future well being of our community (engaged youth = less crime & greater self worth)

A number of community groups and individuals have access to the Sports Stadium in addition to Euroa Secondary College students.
User groups are the Euroa Badminton Club, The Euroa Basketball Association, The Euroa and District Netball Association, Euroa Football Netball Club, the Euroa Junior Football Netball Club and the Euroa Squash Club.
Activities include training and competition for badminton, basketball, netball and squash, training for football and private recreational use by individuals.
There is also the opportunity for gymnastics and little athletics activities to be undertaken in the stadium and it has been used for the Euroa Show and Shine.
Stadium operations are funded by user group contributions. There is no assistance from local, state or federal government.
The stadium needs to be brought up to contemporary standard. There is no heating or cooling and temperatures vary from below zero in winter to above 40 in summer. There has been minimal replacement of equipment and the original (1988) back boards and time clocks are still in use for basketball.
The foyer carpet is in need of replacement and the squash viewing area heater has had to be decommissioned.
The squash courts need attention – both the walls and the flooring.

My eldest daughter has used this facility and my younger daughter currently uses this as well. This building is the only indoor facility in the area utilised by not only school students but also by the majority of the community throughout the whole year for different activities, it is definitely time for some maintenance upgrades. Would be excellent to see this community building receive this project.B

Since leaving Euroa Secondary in 2011 as a student this facility is still in the same condition as it was 7 years ago. The safety is detrimental to users and an urgent upgrade is required in order for the variety of community members to continue to use this facility. It was be fantastic to see the ugrade (such as heating, new equipment, surfacing etc) as I would love to be able to see my 1 year old son using the facility in a few years come and be able to participate in community activities whilst using safe and updated sports facility. Please pick this project!

What do we get for $200k?

Last time I was there it rained and the roof leaked and the young netballers were slipping over on the wet court, very dangerous! This facility is well used by the community and desperately needs an upgrade.

This facility is essential, it’s multi purpose use, past and future are second to none. Built by the community for the community needing an investment to ensure it is there for use for community for another 30 years. It’s time for funding this great facility. Hundreds of children, adults, events, activities occur every year, but much more could realised within the capacity of this facilities possibilities to be realised. Now is the time for this facility. A well worth an investment opportunity that will be greatly received.
