Establish a Community Service Project & Disaster Response Team

Team Rubicon Australia is a charity organisation that takes serving and ex-defence personnel and combines them with emergency first responders in order to form teams able to respond to disasters. In Victoria we have a disaster response team and we need to train - we do this by performing local community service projects that benefit the entire community, for example hiking trail maintenance and anything else that we can do to assist the community. We do the jobs no one else wants to and we do it for free.

We aim to provide community focussed projects to any community group that needs us. If you need manpower to assist your community project or recover after a disaster then you need us. We aim to get ourselves to the stage where we can perform free community service projects every weekend. A vehicle and trailer will allow us to transport our equipment and personnel to both community service projects and disasters. We address the community need of not being able to access trained volunteers able to assist with community projects and post disaster clean up when other agencies leave.
