The busy Ashwood Drive park on the Gardiners Creek bike-track currently has no access to water, or inadequate seating, and a playground that only suits younger children. Enhancements will encourage greater usage, improve health and safety, attract people with a wider range of interests and encourage interaction and community.
The grant will fund a water tap for park and bike-track users for hydration, first aid and hygiene; a bike repair station; increased seating, which can double as play equipment; additional tables for social events; and fitness equipment to attract teenagers and to encourage people to be more active.

Water tap (to compensate for the lack of water facility on bike track within Monash) will enable people to spend longer in the park, use fitness equipment, first aid treatment for accidents, refill water bottles and provide much needed hydration for dogs and other animals in summer.
Fitness equipment to encourage wider range of age groups to use the park and get more people more active
Bike repair station - education for kids and pit stop for bike track users
Seating and tables - enable people to relax and socialise in the park all year round and encourage community interaction

This is much needed. I especially would use the tap for hydration for my family including the dog.

Tap would be great. Prefer to have the park dog free as it's a very small park but a little more level land would awesome to be able to kick the footy with the kids. Please put the gym stuff on the same side as the playground equipment, so we don't lose any more grass...

We need to encourage teenagers to get our in the fresh air away from screens. Age appropriate Gym/playground equipment is a good start. A drinking tap is essential with a bowl for dogs to drink from. More seating in and out of shade would encourage people to enjoy the area too.

A great planned addition which would be both an enhanced attraction and excellent use of the available space

A water tap for cyclists will be a great addition, but I'd also be happy to have water there for kids playing in the park (especially on hot days) and to help clean kids up after a fall. Hope this lovely little park gets a tap!

I walk there all the time and enjoy the trees and space. A drinking fountain would be a great addition
Perhaps a separate bike track and a walking track
