All ages, all genders, all abilities will have access. Tennis is a sport for life & we want to invite the whole community to this event.
Two elements make up our proposal.
1 - Women throughout the region will take part in a breakfast to hear from other women who have made their way in the tennis industry in different roles.
2 - The community will then take to the tennis court for some social hitting; where we'll ask all stakeholders to voice their opinion on social tennis which will be used to plan and implement a social tennis program.
Currently in Bendigo there is only one female coach out of 12 and two female presidents from a total of 12 clubs. Our networking forum will inspire more women to take up an active role in tennis clubs as coaches, presidents, committee members and administrators.
Social tennis is identified as one of the missing links in getting more people to lead a more active lifestyle. By gathering data from people on the court hitting we can better plan a new social tennis program for the region. This information could lead to the masses playing tennis more often.

What’s happened to the social game of tennis there use to be a number of local tennis clubs about the place but over the years they have slowly been closed for what reason I can’t say I think that we need to look at the tennis for women that enjoy the game and probably the social side of the game, also just to do something for them selves. The give back to our mothers, daughter, sisters, and friends is worth the small amount of money they are looking for to provide pleasure to many.
