Echuca East Fitness Track

The project involves the construction of a concrete fitness track around the perimeter of the Echuca East Primary School oval. It is envisaged that the track will be used for walking, running, scooters and bikes. During the school day the track will be utilised by the students in various ways, e.g. PE, road safety, health, fitness and training. As part of everyday learning, the possibilities of incorporating the track are infinite. We see the track being utilised by the wider community and local sporting and youth groups including Warma Turtles Auskick. EEPS encourage community use of their facilities outside school

There is no formal walking track in Echuca East and footpaths are limited. The track would provide a safe place for children to walk, run, scoot and ride. Fitness equipment installed around the track is accessible to the wider community, ranging from young children, EEPS students and families to our older community members who would have a safe place to exercise. The health benefits of a walking track are enormous for all ages and the Echuca East Fitness Track will enhance community spirit, health and wellbeing.
