To reestablish a community meeting point at the Public Reserve which has been managed by the community since the 1870's. The community has expressed a new desire to utilise this scenic public space. The previous facilities were removed due to safety concerns. Under new management and a revised vision, a plan is in place to provide an all-weather structure for community strengthening activities. This facility will be a secure indoor and outdoor space, which will lend itself to future development.

This project will provide a facility for a wide range of community groups to gather and conduct activities. It will become a hub for the community in times of recreation, emergency and community development. Durham Ox is an isolated rural community within the Loddon Shire. In this community there is a need for an informal meeting area and I believe the Durham Ox Public Reserve is an ideal location for centralised activities that will foster community engagement and growth.

this would be a wonderful resurrection, as it will enable the community to gather and catch up with each other which is so important for farming families these days.
