By removing the existing garden at Ferntree Gully Station it is our intent to recreate a drought tolerant, fire safer garden display that can inform the local community of what is possible when planning a garden in our area

The Ferntree Gully community is regularly exposed to the fire threat that exists to its immediate East. The hills area is quite dangerous from a fire threat perspective. This display will allow local community members to view and consider their own garden areas in light of this threat and potentially plan gardens that surround their homes that are both drought tolerant and more fire resistant

Thanks Wendy, that's exactly right and the plan is that passers by can stop see the display and plan their own spaces with an advised and safe awareness of what works in our area. Thanks for your comment. Cheers from FTG CFA
