Digitising our cultural DNA for future generations to come

SCANN3D is Australia's leading 3D visualisation Company.

It is contributing an in-kind contribution to help document and archive Yarra's iconic heritage landmarks in 3D for use in conservation, education and preservation based activities.

The council and associated partners will have free access to all data. This will be used in schools as a virtual field trip tool along with insurance and preservation partners to help protect these sites for future generations.

SCANN3D will index Yarra's top 10 iconic landmarks inside and out. This will be hosted online, built into a free VR application and extended into Augmented Reality.

This project has already demonstrated immense intangible value through 3D mapping of the Old Lyric Theatre for globally renowned street artist Rone:

This site is now an empty hole in the ground and its heritage is forever lost.
By immortalising a dozen of the most significant sites across the community, this project will preserve each landmark in incredible detail, whilst opening up access for younger generations and even those with the inability to access these physical sites.
SCANN3D will match project funding with an in-kind contribution of 100% to further extend capital invested for maximum social impact.
