The Free Tennis Program is aimed at youth in the Casey area. The program will target 50 kids from multicultural groups and the community and contact will be made in various languages to increase the chance of participation. It will be a fully inclusive program which will include free coaching for 12 months and equipment required to play the sport. It will also include free tennis club memberships. Once the program ends there will be social event for all the kids families to socialise.
Tennis can at times be expensive due to equipment and lessons. This program would like to provide the experience of the sport to 50 kids from our community and be an all inclusive program. We are in one of the highest growing municipalities in Victoria. Many are from multicultural backgrounds/early migrants or from low socio-economic backgrounds in need of more social and inclusive activities. Our challenge is the high cost of equipment and coaching. We would like to engage our youth especially girls to ensure they are provided with the opportunities to play sport.

Pete is a wonderful coach and a great guy. He has come to our dchool on a number of occassions and worked with our kids. He has a passion and dedication to supporting kids and sport. He is as wonderful role model for our youth.

As a mother with a son who has played tennis since he was 9 years of age - and still playing at nearly 18 - I think it has been a wonderful avenue for encouragement, skill, fitness and commitment. It has also kept him off the xbox!!!
