The Project Plan is to provide a structured play area that houses a large "Climbing Structure" and "Nest Swing" with soft-fall, where students can socialise with other students and be physically active. As students progress to the senior area, there is a lack of structured play activities that allows them to be able to interact and socialise in an informal setting that enables all students of various abilities to be inclusive.

With the purchase of new equipment, students will have the benefit of climbing and swinging which will meet some of their sensory needs and will also encourage an inclusive and stimulating learning environment for students to become leaders and communicate effectively with others. It will also benefit the disengaged students by giving them a sense of self-confidence within a safe, respectful and inclusive environment. When out in the wider community, students will have more confidence and will be able to interact in a more natural way.

Students in the senior yard have a range of needs which are not being met with the current equipment. Regular breaks from the classroom in an environment with age appropriate equipment are essential for these students to learn effectively. An upgrade of the facilities will greatly enhance students educational outcomes and provide a space for them to socialise and enjoy a well earned break.

Students in special education have sensory needs and require regular movement brakes. Our senior yard is lacking in age appropriate equipment and is in desperate need for some new equipment. Appropriate equipment will provide students with an area that they can play, move and socialise. Receiving this equipment will benefit students for years to come.

As a teacher at this school, I consider this project as vital for the further social and physical development of the students. This project will enhance activity and focus for the older students with appropriate equipment at their stages of development.

I believe this project will foster more movement and mobility in the school. Leading to improve mental health, well being and physical health.

I am a teacher at this school, working in the Senior area. I am currently teaching students with high sensory needs and I believe this equipment and project will further the sensory development of our students.
