Yes Birregurra hire the same stage marquee which costs thousands but the photo is OMM at Deans Marsh Festival with the Zimbabwe Choir for the awesome Songs of Freedom concert which was something we had to hire the roof for. I hoped it wasn't confusing that we look like we already have a roof but was the best photo of us having fun I could find.

Our Project is to build a Pavilion designed to benefit all who use Memorial Oval which is home to several well-established events (Deans Marsh Festival, Deans Marsh Sheep Dog Trials, our famous 200+ OMM Rock Choir) which really do help make Deans Marsh a great place to live.
A permanent versatile protected home with a workable stage will be so useful to our many community groups. Deans Marsh School Graduation, on the oval?
The tables here are already a popular picnic spot for the many visitors the Otways and Great Ocean Road attracts. The Pavilion will improve their experience too
Deans Marsh Pavilion is needed as a centerpiece for our AMAZING array of activities, sporting, artistic and educational.
The performers at Carols, the Winter Solstice, Music@theMarsh, our mighty festival are at the mercy of sun, wind and rain and
we rely on community dollars and shire funding to hire expensive staging. Our active cricket club needs the shade during summer, the Dog Trial spectators, the families and commentators watching the Blackwood Cup too.
‘The Marsh’ will be even better when we can utilize an all-weather pavilion for the events we enjoy hosting which bring our vibrant, growing community together

This pavilion and workable stage will be a great asset to the Deans Marsh community and will be a focus for many community activities especially music events such as OMM as well as most sporting events
this project has huge potential for many user groups in the community and surrounding areas.
Great project for all
Wonderful opportunity for the residents of Deans Marsh and the broader community. Would be used all year round. Great to use not only for community events but as a general meeting place for young and old.
This project will be a fantastic opportunity for Deans Marsh to move ahead, espcially with the large number of young people moving into the area.
"IF YOU BUILD IT, THEY WILL COME!!"
save 10's of thousands in hiring one for performances
This is great initiative. The Deans Marsh community really needs facilitation to get together more.
this is a great project and has the potential for so many community uses as already outlined. Small communities need this assistance and then they make it work! As they say “build it and they will come”!
I’m not sure a photo of the Birre stage is a good way of selling your project. It makes it look as though there already is a stage at Deans.

The Deans Marsh Memorial Park is the Centre of our Community. It is continuously used by the community for so many purposes. The pavilion would seriously help alleviate the annual cost that many local events need to cough up "in case it rains". Seriously important to the long term success of the Deans Marsh Festival as well as the cricket club and the Deans Marsh Working Dog Trial.
We have so many local people who work in their own ways to provide activities. All are volunteers and do this to extend the connections within and contribute to the heath and wellbeing of the community. Year after year pavilions are hired for annual events. A permanent pavilion would mean less of a drain on finances in the long run and provide protection to visitors and participants of events for many years to come.

We were singers in the Songs of Freedom concert 2018 under the wonderful tutelage of Louise & the marquee is an "essential ingredient" for a successful event. The marquee would also be used by the many many artistic groups that evolve from the fantastic Deans Marsh area!!! Deni Collyer
