Daylesford Digital Hub

Traditional media is changing from radio and television to the internet. Creating a digital hub, using local professionals who work remotely and industry standard hardware and software, local youth can create their own digital content which includes video, music and sound design, game development etc. Geography shouldn’t be a barrier to interesting, well paid careers. The digital age makes this possible so youth in our community don’t have to miss out.

Job opportunities are limited to mainly hospitality and tourism in the Daylesford area, which are often not well-paid nor offer secure employment. Making youth aware of the huge range of career opportunities in emerging industries fills a gap in their skills and knowledge, extending their career aspirations. Local people can work in these emerging digital industries in their local area.
